Dear All:
The F.A.S.C. would like to present an opportunity for all Athletes involved in Strength Athletics namely Strongman - Highland Games and Highlander events to create Co-Operatives in five states of Australia. The purpose of this is to have each state develop there sporting interest in the above sports and to formalize there efforts and results via the F.A.S.C.
Strongman Co-Operative's
The intention of the Co-Operative is that all Athletes and promoters can share a common website to promote and develop there events and build individual Athlete profiles. The CO-OP's can add scores, records, results, and add sponsors pretty much anything strength or strongman related.
The goal will be that each state runs a top level event prior to A.S.M. each year for selection of Athletes for each A.S.M. Division – U105 and Open H.W.
The F.A.S.C will work with all promoters / Co Op's who wish to be involved in state run events to have the best guys put forward for high profile national events and other opportunities that become available.
The F.A.S.C. will help Promoters to establish standards and rules so that all follow a basic format for all state run events.
The F.A.S.C. will encourage State Co-operatives to Run National level Amateur events, i.e. Australian Amateur Strongman Championships this can be established for 2012. This could work on a round robin system, i.e., Queensland 2012, Victoria 2013, etc.
The F.A.S.C. will create a code of conduct to support athletes and promoters.
The persons listed for each capital city web site are Athletes and Promoters who have participated in F.A.S.C. events and support the ideals of strength Athletics in Australia.
Other persons are welcome to join each Co-Operative at the discretion of the person's nominated below.
The only requirement of the F.A.S.C. is that the Federation Logo is placed and remains on the home page with a link to the www.fasc.com.au site.
The F.A.S.C. will format a basic web site home page for each co-op with and under construction banner on each site. Each site will be linked to the www.fasc.com.au.
Each co-op is free to use any photos owned buy Aussiepower Events for the purpose of developing there individual sites. The Nominee at the head of each Site section is the State Athlete Representative, the second is the 2. I. C.
An agreement will be forwarded shortly to each State representative to start the process of the handover i.e. name servers, once completed the site will be available for use immediately.
I would encourage that new athletes to strongman support there Co-Operatives in the form of an agreed membership to pay for web site development i.e. each athlete pays a token fee to place there profiles – t.b.a. via each co-op.
The F.A.S.C receives no funds from Memberships from State co-operatives.
The Following websites have been awarded to the following persons / Groups for the purpose of developing there own Co-Operatives.
